Dark Chocolate Superfood Bark Recipe
Here’s a delicious snack that you can whip up in no time and that will impress all your guests with your culinary skills. The options for chocolate bark are endless. We like to make our own chocolate base using Organic Cacao to get an extra dose of fiber and superfood in our treats.
Ingredients:
For the chocolate:
- ½ cup coconut oil
- 1 cup raw cacao butter, chunks
- ¼ cup Natierra Organic Cacao Powder
- 2 tbsp. granulated erythitrol sweetener
Directions:
- Using a double boiler method, place a heavy bottomed glass or metal bowl over a pot of low simmering water. Make sure the water is not touching the bowl base. There should be a tight fit between the bowl sides and the top of the pot to prevent steam from escaping.
- Put all ingredients in the bowl and let melt over low simmering water until fully liquified. Be sure to stir often to combine and emulsify the cacao and cocoa butter & coconut oil.
- Once melted and homogenous, remove from heat and let set 5-10 minutes.
- Pour onto a parchment-lined baking pan, top with any of the topping combinations below, and then let set until cool and solid.
- Break into pieces and serve!

You can get a little creative with your choice of toppings. Here we’ve outlined a few of our favorite combinations.
Nuts for Chocolate
- ¼ cup Natierra Organic Cacao Nibs
- ½ cup Natierra Goji Berries
- ¼ cup Natierra Chocolate Covered Hemp Seeds
- ¼ cup chopped toasted macadamia nuts
Mediterranean Mix
- ½ cup Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Pomegranate Arils
- ½ cup slivered almonds
- 1 tbsp Himalania Pink Salt Flakes
Superfood Blast
- ¼. cup Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Blueberries
- ¼ cup Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Raspberries
- ¼ cup Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Strawberries
- 2 tbsp Natierra Chocolate Covered Chia Seeds
- ½ cup almond butter
- ½ cup Natierra Premium Freeze-Dried Bananas
- 1 tbsp Natierra Inka Salt Flakes
- 1 tbsp Natierra Organic Cacao Nibs
Tropical Surprise
- ½ cup Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Pineapple
- ½ cup Natierra Organic Dried Mango Strips, chopped
- ¼ cup sweetened shredded coconut (you can use unsweetened if you wish)
- ¼ cup chopped toasted macadamia nuts
