Natierra products should be stored in a cool, dry place. None of our products require refrigeration unless you use them as ingredients in a recipe (the shelf life of a smoothie after you've made it outside of the fridge is not very long at all).

SNACKS

When we pack our smoothies and snacks, we print a "Best Before" date on the pack, which indicates for how long it will be at its freshest – generally 1 year from when you receive it. Please note that as our products are mostly dried, they can be good past the “best before” date if kept sealed and in a cool dry place. Nevertheless, our products are at their best if consumed before the best before date. Past these dates the appearance, texture and taste of the products might change as the products age and mature.

Our snacks are made from real organic and premium fruit and vegetables. For chocolate covered snacks we also use organic cacao, organic soy lecithin and organic milk. You can read the full list of ingredients on each product page and on the back of each pack.

We craft our products using premium and organic fruits and vegetables, relying on the availability of high quality fresh ingredients. Consequently, some popular flavors may temporarily go out of stock if a specific ingredient is in limited supply. Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Fruit products are not considered raw as they are not in their natural state. Using a freeze-drying process removes the moisture without heating the fruit, allowing the nutrients contained in our fruits to remain intact.

No, we never use chemicals in our freeze-drying process.

There are no additives in our Freeze-Dried Food products except for the Organic Apples for which we use a brine solution. A brine solution is a natural solution used to preserve the freshness and color of our apples, and is made from water, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid and salt.

Our smoothies and snacks do not have added sugars or sweeteners or any kind. Our freeze-dried fruits and vegetables only contain the sugar that is naturally occurring in the fruit. They are not a low-calorie food; see the nutrition information on each bag for calorie and sugar content.

SMOOTHIES

Each serving of our smoothies contains at least two and a half servings of fruit and/or vegetables. It is the equivalent of two and a half cups (200g) of fresh produce.

With our 8 ready-to-mix, individual, organic smoothie powders, you can mix and match your favorite fruits and veggies in seconds: Fill your shaker with 8oz of your favorite liquid (water, milk, mill alternative), add your favorite smoothie powder (you can mix and match), shake it until smooth! That's it.

For optimal enjoyment, we recommend consuming our freshly prepared smoothies within an hour. If you prefer to prepare them in advance, store the smoothie in the refrigerator and consume it within 24 hours. Similar to fresh fruit, once the liquid is added, room-temperature smoothies may undergo oxidation and fermentation in the bottle over time.

Here are a few tips to help you make the perfect smoothie:

  • Liquid First! Add liquid first, then add your smoothie powders
  • Whisk it! Use the wire whisk ball provided with the shaler bottle
  • Swirl it! Give the bottle a gentle swirl before you shake. It will wet all the ingredients and prevent lumps
  • Add some rotation! Shake by rotating your wrist.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Natierra ships online orders to addresses only in the contiguous United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska and Hawaii. Orders placed Monday through Thursday usually are processed and shipped the next business day. Orders placed on Friday after 2:00 PM PST will be processed the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will not start processing until Monday.

All online orders are shipped from our warehouse in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California.
