At-Home Brunch Menu for Mother’s Day
Every day is the perfect day to show Mom how much you love her, but Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to step up your game and show Mom exactly how special she is. An entire day for all of us to celebrate and honor the strong women who raised us and are raising us. While Mother’s Day is all about Mom, there’s one more thing (and we sure don’t mind) Brunch. One of our favorite ways to show love is through food, so we created an at-home brunch menu that we know Mom will enjoy!
Our favorite Brunch Drink: Raspberry Sunrise Mimosa
What better way to wake mom up than with a raspberry sunrise mimosa?! This simple, yet delicious, drink is one that she will surely appreciate. All you need is your favorite Champagne, a dash of grenadine and chilled orange juice. Mix together and add our Natierra Organic Freeze-Dried Raspberries for an extra touch of flavor and color. Bonus points if you serve it to Mom in bed!
Appetizer: Granola Crust Fruit Tart
A wholesome fruit tart with a granola crust that will give you crunch, crumbles and is completely customizable! Combine rolled oats, walnuts, Natierra Superfood Goji Berries, a few Tbsps. coconut oil, two Tbsps. honey and a pinch of cinnamon. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 15 minutes (time may vary by five minutes depending on your oven). Once cooled, add three to four Tbsps. Greek yogurt and top with a mixture of your favorite fresh fruits. For an extra pop of crunch, we suggest adding our Natierra Freeze-Dried Blueberries and Freeze-Dried Strawberries.
Salad: Wholegrain Spring Salad
For a light touch, create a fresh and delicious wholegrain spring salad. Get your greens and your goodies in one bite! Toss roughly six cups of mixed greens like arugula and spinach with Natierra Organic Chia Seeds, a small shallot finely chopped, lemon juice, freshly ground black pepper and, as a finishing touch, a pinch of Natierra Pink Himalayan Salt. Top with your favorite vinaigrette and you’ll have a lovely wholegrain spring salad that is sure to please Mom and the entire family!
Main: Fried Egg Avocado Toast
Toast for Mother’s Day, you say? Absolutely! Avocado toast is not only a trendy Millennial meal, it is a delicious, simple way to get back to basics and incorporate beloved avocado along with your favorite toppings. In a small bowl, mix mashed avocado, Natierra Organic Mushroom Powder and a teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Spread the avocado mixture over a slice of toasted (assuming it should be toasted right?) sourdough (we all still have some left from #quarantinelife, right) and top with a fried egg and organic micro-greens. You will have an Instagram-worthy avocado toast that is even more delish than it looks!
