5 Superfood Recipes For A Boost

 
Over the past year, it has become even more necessary to take care of our bodies and rely on nutrient rich foods for an additional boost. Don’t feel intimidated by all the noise out there when it comes to 
Superfoods, and the best ways to consume them. The truth is, there are many different ways to incorporate Superfoods into your diet!

Antioxidant packed blueberries

1. Natierra's Chia pudding 

You can make this treat with almond milk, and add flavorings like vanilla or our cocoa powder. 

  • Just mix together, 1-2 Tbsp Natierra Chia Seeds and about ½ cup almond milk.  

For a thicker, pudding-like texture, add more seeds and allow the mixture to soak longer. 

Chia pudding makes a delicious dish for breakfast or dessert. If you don’t like the seeds’ texture, you can process in a blender to obtain a smoother finish. 

Top with fresh blueberries, sliced almonds, and a handful of our Freeze-Dried Strawberries. 

 
Why Chia? 

Rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, considered to be beneficial to one’s immunity 

 

2. Natierras Homemade Granola 

Mix together raw walnuts, pecans, pumpkin seeds, dried coconut, Natierra dried goji berries, Freeze-Dried blueberries (and any other of your favorite Natierra Freeze-Dried Fruits), dairy-free chocolate chips, oats, and Natierra Chia Seeds. Add a dash of cinnamon, then bake to obtain a golden, delicious granola. The best part about making homemade granola is that it's all up to you 

Add as many or as few ingredients as you'd like, and voilà... you have granola! 

Why Granola? 

Granola is packed with fiber, iron, and other Ingredients said to be beneficial to one’s heart.

 

3. Mushroom Powder Baked Veggies 

This one is simple, and a weeknight favorite for those food conscious chefs on the go!  
 

  • Choose your favorite vegetable, we recommend chopped broccoli or trimmed asparagus.  
  • Drizzle with olive oil, add a pinch Natierra’s Himalania Pink Salt, and toss with 1-2 tsps Organic Maitake Mushroom Powder. 

That’s it! Bake at 350ºF for about 35 minutes, or longer if you prefer your veggies less crunchy, and you are in for a flavor-packed treat. 
 

Why Mushroom Powder? 

Some research shows that mushrooms and mushroom powders actually stimulate and strengthen the immune system.

 

4. Dark Chocolate Hemp Seed Froyo

  • Choose your favorite FROYO and top with our dark-chocolate covered Hemp Seeds! (Our favorite is CADO Frozen Avocado Yogurt.)

Why Hemp Seeds? 

Hemp seeds are rich in good fats and antioxidants! Did we mention ours are chocolate-covered?! 

5. Natierra Cacao Almond Latte 

You didn’t think we forgot about coffee now did you? Coffee lovers, this Cacao Almond Latte is for you! 

  • 12 oz of coffee 
  • Tbsp cacao powder 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • 3 oz almond milkpreferably steamed.  

Why Cacao?  

Cacao is also one of the highest sources of magnesium available in nature, and a good source of antioxidants, calcium, zinc, copper and selenium. Cacao contains more antioxidants per gram than many other antioxidant- rich foods, like blueberries, prunes, and even red wine.
