For Valentine’s day, we are giving you a special treat: our favorite places to watch a SoCal sunset. With your loved one or the whole family, watching a sunset and enjoying nature is always a good idea for outdoor enthusiast.
El Matador State Beach
An under-the-radar destination, definitely one of our favorites. You can also hike there, along the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway).
Venice Beach Boardwalk
Loved by tourists, locals and families, it’s a lively place to hang out, grab some food and watch the sunset.
Hermosa Beach
Less known than it’s neighbor Santa Monica, it offers a beautiful view and surfer vibes. It is also the end of a Bike Trail called “The Strand” that you can enjoy as well.
Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook
A.k.a. the Culver City Stairs! The panoramic view of Los Angeles and the California coastline you will have there make it a great place to watch the sunset. You can drive there or park at the bottom of the hill and enjoy a hike to your destination! Allow for at least an hour before sunset to get there in time if you choose to hike up.
The Getty
This famous LA Art museum’s garden is a great spot for a sunset that will take your breath away.
But “shush”!.. We don’t want to give away all our good spots 😉
